In the 80th year of the Kohler Foundation’s Distinguished Guest Series, we unveil untold stories that invite you to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes and celebrate humanity.
The Distinguished Guest Series opens with the Tony Award winner, Emmy Award nominee, and New York Times Best Seller Alan Cumming performing his new show, Alan Cumming: Uncut.
Then, 98 Degrees star Drew Lachey and his wife Lea bring us the new musical, LabelˑLess after their critically acclaimed previews in NYC.
Our storytelling season concludes with the Drama Desk-nominated performance of The Other Mozart, a theatrical performance that the New York Times calls “Strikingly beautiful”.
The Distinguished Guest Series premiered in 1944 as part of the Kohler Women’s Club led by Ruth DeYoung Kohler. The club recognized the importance of having a strong arts presence and offering residents exposure to a variety of performance styles. Alan Cumming: UNCUT
WEDNESDAY, November 20, 2024 – 7:00 p.m.
Alan Cumming, the multi-hyphenate, multi-award-winning, multimedia mogul comes to Kohler with a new cabaret show, Alan Cumming: UNCUT, a revealing, hilarious, and authentic performance with musical direction by Henry Koperski. Alan is best known for a myriad of roles including his Tony Award-winning performance in Cabaret, the scene-stealing dance routine in Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, as Eli Gold on The Good Wife, and now as the host of the thrilling reality show, The Traitors.

LabelˑLess
Thursday, March 6, 2025 – 7:00 p.m.
It has never been easier to connect with others, yet our world has never been more divided. The struggle to understand and accept people who do not look the same, sound the same, or think the same has never been more real. The new musical by Drew and Lea Lachey, LabelˑLess is the perfect vehicle to start the difficult conversations that need to be had. Whether discussing race, sexuality, or mental health, LabelˑLess brings attention to topics in a way that everyone can understand and relate to. Encouraging everyone to “walk” a mile in someone else’s shoes. Using popular music, dance, and personal stories, this talented cast of 18 draws attention to the struggles facing us while offering hope for a better, more accepting tomorrow.
Heart, Humanity, and Hope are at the center of this up and coming musical by Drew and Lea Lachey that will take the stage at Kohler Memorial Theater on March 6, 2025.
The Other Mozart
Thursday, May 8, 2025 – 7:00 p.m.
Our storytelling season concludes with the Drama Desk-nominated performance of The Other Mozart, a theatrical performance that the New York Times calls “Strikingly beautiful”. The Other Mozart tells the true, forgotten story of Nannerl Mozart, the sister of Amadeus – a prodigy who performed throughout Europe with her brother to equal acclaim, but her work and her story faded away.
The LA Times says, “With an emotional precision that captures and rewards attention throughout, [The Other Mozart] rescues Nannerl’s genius from the historical shadow of her brother’s. [The] historical portrait of this gifted woman ahead of her time implores us to consider whether things are different now, but the only honest answer is: not different enough.”
Sylvia Milo will star as Nannerl, Amadeus Mozart's sister, in The Other Mozart at Kohler Memorial Theater on May 8, 2025.

Season tickets go on sale on August 28, 2024, and individual tickets are on sale on September 12, 2024.

Individual Ticket Sales begin September 12
Kohler Foundation hosts one of the longest-running performing arts series in the state of Wisconsin. The Distinguished Guest Series is an annual series of professional performances held at the Kohler Memorial Theater in Kohler, with a 70-year history of delighting audiences by presenting a wide range of performing arts.
In addition, Kohler Foundation periodically offers musical performances at the Waelderhaus, which are an intimate and special experience all their own. We believe in the performing arts as an avenue for building community and fostering enlightenment; we continue to plan exciting local events to demonstrate that belief.
