The Waelderhaus is open for tours!

Tours are offered daily at 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 4:00 pm.

Tours are free of charge. Reservations encouraged for groups over 10 people, walk-ins welcome! Call 920-453-2851 or email jen.balge@kohler.com for more information.

View stained glass, wrought-iron craftsmanship and woodwork in the Austrian style of the Bregenzerwald region, ancestral home of the Kohler family. 

  

  The Waelderhaus will be closed on April 5, May 1, May 2, and May 17.

What to expect during a tour at Waelderhaus:

• Tours of the interior of Waelderhaus will last 40-50 minutes. You are welcome to spend more time on the grounds.

• The Waelderhaus is located at 1100 W. Riverside Dr. in Kohler. Parking is available across the street. The primary entrance is at the north end of the building at the double doors with the flagstone steps.

• There are 2 sets of stairs during the Waelderhaus tour. Due to the historic nature of the property, there is no elevator.

• We encourage you to follow current public health recommendations as they may apply to you and your visit to the Waelderhaus. 

• Tours are not available during live performances (during Arts at the Waelderhaus or weekend performances at the Gingerbread Festival)

 

Cultural Sensitivity Notice:
We respectfully inform our visitors that our exhibit includes a preserved owl specimen. We understand that owls hold deep cultural significance in many Indigenous traditions, and we want to ensure all guests feel informed and comfortable during their visit.
