Chicago Brass Quintet to Perform at Waelderhaus in Kohler on December 10th
Performing to acclaim worldwide for more than 50 years, the Chicago Brass Quintet will play holiday favorites as part of the Arts at the Waelderhaus series at 3:00 p.m. on December 10.
The Chicago Brass Quintet was formed to promote the appreciation and enjoyment of brass chamber music through performances, educational workshops, broadcasts, recordings, and commissioning new works.
During their first decade the quintet’s energies were devoted to educational concerts in and around the Chicago metropolitan area, exploring new repertoire for the brass quintet in the form of original works for brass, and arrangements of classic compositions adaptable for brass.
Today, the quintet continues to maintain an active touring and recording schedule including recitals, guest performances with symphony orchestras, and a wide variety of programs.
The Chicago Brass Quintet is composed of Ross Beacraft, trumpet; Matt Lee, trumpet; Dan O'Connell, horn; Adam Moen, trombone; and Dan Anderson, tuba.
