Spring 2013 Grant Awards
The Kohler Foundation is pleased to announce grants to 24 charitable organizations, representing the Foundation's spring 2013 award cycle. Kohler Foundation grant guidelines give preference to arts and education programs based in or benefiting Sheboygan County or other small towns in Wisconsin. KFI is pleased to provide support for the following organizations and programs this spring:
Langlais Sculptures Find New Homes
Kohler Foundation staff will be traveling to Maine this month to meet with potential recipients of artwork and sculptures by renowned American artist Bernard Langlais, whose work the Foundation is preserving. Late in his life, Langlais constructed more than 100 large-scale wood sculptures, which he erected on the land around his Cushing, Maine home. The collection includes three dimensional works, works on paper, and paintings plus an expansive archive. A number of outdoor sculptures still remain on the property.
