Langlais Sculptures Find New Homes
Kohler Foundation staff will be traveling to Maine this month to meet with potential recipients of artwork and sculptures by renowned American artist Bernard Langlais, whose work the Foundation is preserving. Late in his life, Langlais constructed more than 100 large-scale wood sculptures, which he erected on the land around his Cushing, Maine home. The collection includes three dimensional works, works on paper, and paintings plus an expansive archive. A number of outdoor sculptures still remain on the property.
