Jacob Liffring
Jacob Liffring from St. Anna, WI worked as a farm laborer, and during his free time spent hours creating wood carvings from scraps of wood. Liffring sold many of his works at taverns in the community of St Anna. In 2011, Kohler Foundation acquired 136 pieces of his work. The collection consists of hand-carved wagons, figures, horses and miniature furniture. The collection was carefully cleaned by Kohler Foundation preservation technicians and gifted to the New Holstein Historical Society in 2011.
