Marshfield Clinic Art Collection
Marshfield Clinic has a full-time gallery director and a curator to manage an expansive and impressive art collection that is used throughout their facility. They have recently deaccessioned a group of paintings, drawings, and prints and asked that Kohler Foundation take them on as a project, conserve as needed, and then gift to other non-profits.
The collection included artwork by many well-known artists from the 1980s neo-expressionism and pop art period, including works by Pat Steir, Barbara Kruger, Gilbert and George, Edward Ruscha, and Robert Indiana.
Over a two-year period, KFI gifted selected works to the Racine Art Museum, Lawrence University, Lakeland University, Beloit College and University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
